Steps to Perform Memory Diagnostic in Windows:

  1. Access the Start Menu:

    • Click the Start button (or press the Windows key).

  2. Search for "Windows Memory Diagnostic":

    • In the search box, type: "Windows Memory Diagnostic".

  3. Launch the diagnostic tool:

    • Click on the "Windows Memory Diagnostic" option in the search results.

  4. Choose a restart option:

    • A window will open with two options:

      • Restart now and check for problems: This will restart your computer and begin testing the RAM.

      • Check for problems the next time I start my computer: This schedules the test for the next time you restart your PC.

  5. Memory analysis:

    • The test will begin automatically after the restart. It will check your RAM for any problems.

  6. Results of the diagnostic:

    • Once the test is complete, Windows will inform you if any issues were found.

    • If errors are found, a report will be generated, which you can view via the Event Viewer.

Note: This process checks for physical issues with the memory but does not test for software issues.
